The Dolphin Audio & Roof Display (DPS455) is a 4 recess mounting sensor high quality system . The digital display with integrated buzzer gives audible bleeps with increasing frequency as you get closer to an obstacle and a digital countdown in cm. The display is both inverted and reflected so it only makes sense when read through your rear view mirror. The display comes in a grey rather than the standard black casing to match the interior of most car roofs. There is an on/off switch for the audio alerts which is built into the back of the display.


There are 32 colours availableto match most customers needs. These are coloured and baked on in factory conditions for a lasting finish and will not crack as can happen with retro spraying. The sensors should also withstand things like automatic car washes.

The Dolphin unit is activated when reverse gear is engaged. As the vehicle is reversed, When the vehicle is less than 1.5 metres from the obstruction the audible alert will emit intermittent bleeps. As the vehicle gets closer to the obstruction the frequency of the bleeps increases. At 30 centimetres from the obstruction the bleeps become a continuous solid tone.

This is an example of the display as it would be viewed in action in your rear view mirror. If you had an obstruction just on one side of the car the illuminated bars would vary and the shortest distance reading would be displayed.

Maintenance

No routine maintenance or adjustment is required. Dirt, frost or snow accumulated on the sensors may cause the system to activate incorrectly. Clean carefully with a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or spirits. Applying hot water in frozen conditions may damage the sensors. The sensors can be washed carefully with warm soapy water
