The Dolphin DPPK1 is a high quality 4 recess mounting sensor system. This kit has buzzers that bleeps with increasing frequency as you get closer to an obstacle front or rear.

There are 32 colours available to match most customers needs. These are coloured and baked on in factory conditions for a lasting finish and will not crack as can happen with retro spraying. The sensors should also withstand things like automatic car washes.

The rear Dolphin unit is activated when reverse gear is selected. When the vehicle is less than 1.5 metres from the obstruction the audible alert will emit intermittent bleeps. As the vehicle gets closer to the obstruction the frequency of the bleeps increases. At 30 centimetres from the obstruction the bleeps become a continuous solid tone, warning you that you should stop the car.

The front sensors come with an illuminated rocker switch to manually control the front sensors which can be mounted somewhere appropriate on your dashboard.

For modern vehicles with CANbus electrics, instead of having the manual switching option. You can buy an Interface Module to pick up a speed reading from your cars engine management system which will switch the front sensors on when your speed drops to around 6mph or less. This CANbus Interface comes at an additional cost £49.99 and is compatible with these CANBUS cars

if you wear a hearing aid we would recommend that you consider the DPPK4 kit which uses displays, as opposed to this stand alone audio in case the the audible pitch of the alert is incompatible with your hearing aid.

Maintenance

No routine maintenance or adjustment is required. Dirt, frost or snow accumulated on the sensors may cause the system to activate incorrectly. The sensors can be washed carefully with warm soapy water
